Dear Whiteflash.com Sales Team,I am rather lost for words, the
I would like to thank you all for making this whole daunting process extremely easy and for answering all of my questions with extremely quick and comprehensive answers.
You have all kept me informed every step of the way and I am delighted that I chose Whiteflash for this very special gift.
I will let you know once I have received the ring and that it looks as it does in the photos (this may be a few days as it is being delivered to a friend’s house).
I am expecting to propose in Mid October when we go on holiday, but if you like I can let you know ‘when’ she says yes and what her reaction is to the engagement ring.
Many thanks for all your time and effort.
A VERY happy customer

Rounded Open Cathedral Engagement Ring is absolutely stunning and I am obviously delighted with how it looks!!
Dear Whiteflash.com Sales Team,
All I can say is WOW! Words can’t describe how happy I am with the diamond engagement ring. I can’t believe that you all were able to create the ring exactly as I pictured it in my mind. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the quality of the side stones is equally impressive. Your design and creation team did an excellent job making my requests become reality. It exceeded my expectations be leaps and bounds and the same is to be said for the service I have received through the process. Every step of the custom design process was done with such care and that is much appreciated. An engagement ring is such a special product and it’s wonderful to see you all recognize that. You have indeed made a customer for life.
Cross-posted from Whiteflash News: In an Ideal World: All About the Ideal Round CutEveryone knows about the four C’s of diamond grading—carat weight, clarity, cut and color. Most of these are relatively straightforward—you want to buy the stone with the best grades your budget will allow. But cut, the most important characteristic of your diamond, is a little more difficult to understand. Cut does not refer to the shape of your diamond, a common misconception, but the quality of the cutting of the stone. Not being a diamond cutter yourself, it is difficult to judge the quality of the cut yourself. Therefore, it is important to educate yourself about the different levels of cut quality in order to make the best purchase possible.
![]() |
The highest level of cut quality, a level which includes only 3% of jewelry diamonds, is the ideal cut. An ideal cut diamond reflects nearly all the light that enters it, giving it the most sparkle for its size. All diamonds reflect some light, but the beauty and sparkle of a diamond is largely determined by the quality of the cut—an ideal cut diamond’s symmetry allows the greatest “light return”, or what we would call sparkle.
The ideal round is one of the most sought-after diamond cuts available, and for good reason. The combination of the round shape and ideal cut precision create unparalleled brilliance in the stone. An ideal round diamond is used as the center stone of many solitaire engagement rings, as its high degree of light reflection needs no complicated settings to make it shine.
Like the other elements of diamond grading, cut quality is an objective term that can be measured. The light performance of a diamond is a product of the depth of the cut—too deep and light does not reflect fully out of the diamond, too shallow and light escapes out the sides. The ideal cut is one in which most of the light is reflected through the table, or surface, of the stone.

Moving a step beyond the ideal round cut, the Hearts and Arrows cut offers a level of brilliance and precision that has to be seen to be believed. A Cut Above™ is the Whiteflash proprietary brand of Hearts and Arrows diamonds, stones that reach entirely new levels of cut quality. When viewed through a special scope, a Hearts and Arrows diamond displays an arrow pattern when viewed from the top and a pattern of heart shapes when turned over. On a round Hearts and Arrows stone, the 57 facets line up perfectly with each other, forming mirrors that reflect the light of the other facets and create a “super-ideal” level of brilliance and sparkle. This level of optical symmetry means that a Hearts and Arrows diamond can sparkle in dim candlelight as much as another diamond will glitter in bright sunlight.

Less than one diamond in a million has the potential for true Hearts and Arrows patterning, and only the best of these are selected by Whiteflash to become A Cut Above™ diamonds.
Dear Whiteflash.com Sales Team,
Wow! That is a beautiful, beautiful ring! I have no idea how I’m going to keep this a secret until the time I propose in mid- to late-October.
Thank you very much, for helping me split hairs on choosing a center stone. I’m glad I went with a Whiteflash A Cut Above Diamond, and I am absolutely thrilled with the way it looks (actually it’s bigger than I anticipated, but the girlfriend won’t have a problem with that.) I love the design of the head, and the reverse taper and micropave make this exactly what I was looking for. That thing SHINES!
Becca, I can’t believe that is MY legato sleek line pave engagement ring! The photos look great, dare I say, better than the photos on the website. While I was confident with my purchase before, now I’m absolutely convinced it will be perfect. Now I can’t wait to pick it up and see how it looks in sunlight.
You have all made this an exciting experience so far, and the best is yet to come
Thanks,
Steve
Dear Whiteflash.com Sales Team,
The Comfort Fit Wedding Band and the Half Round Wedding Band is wonderful! Great fit, and of course excellent quality as usual. Thank you once again for a perfect purchase!
Dear Whiteflash.com Sales Team,
I did want to take the time to thank you and the entire Whiteflash team for producing a spectacularly gorgeous ring that Stephanie and I will love forever. Right now, like many others, she has the “can’t stop starring at it” syndrome.
I attached a few pictures of our Niagara Falls trip. I wanted to make the weekend special so I booked a 5-star boutique hotel. The hotel was absolutely perfect. I arranged for rose petals and champagne, as well as a room service lunch. After a quick bite, it was off to the observation tower for a view of the falls.
The tower was vacant at the time so I decided that this would be the perfect time to propose. I showed Stephanie the Harmony Diamond Engagement Ring and she was ecstatic. It fits like a charm and Stephanie is amazed and shocked at how sparkly the diamond and ring is and gets compliments wherever she goes. She is also in love with the little pink sapphire and insists to take off her ring to show everybody. All in all we are both extremely pleased with the purchase and will no doubt come back to get the matching wedding band.
Thank you so much! Everyone at Whiteflash has been great. You guys make an awesome team. I look forward to contacting you again in the future.
Sincerely,
Jim
Dear Whiteflash.com Sales Team,
Hi! It’s great to hear from Whiteflash again. I have been very overwhelmed with other ongoing projects since then (defense of my thesis, moving to another country – together with my wife!). Things are now settled for a while.
I would like to wish the Whiteflash team a happy 10 year anniversary, and may there be many more years and people satisfied with the beauties that you give to them!
All the best thoughts from Germany,
Dan
Cross-posted from Whiteflash News: Guide to Diamond Settings: The Tension Setting
Among diamond settings, the tension setting is set apart as one of the most unusual and bold diamond styles to hit the market in years. For someone looking for a unique and modern fashion statement in their diamond setting, the tension setting, and similar tension-style setting is a great option.
In a true tension setting, the pressure of the metal band is used to hold the diamond in place, rather than the prongs or bars of a typical diamond setting. The diamond is set in small grooves cut into the sides of the ring shank, so it appears to float in midair between the sides of the shank. Because the stone is held in place by the pressure created by the force of the metal, this setting can only be used with relatively hard stones such as diamonds and sapphires.
Because the band of a tension setting is created only for a specific diamond, it is manufactured only after the diamond has been purchased. The setting is calibrated exactly to fit the diamond that has been chosen, and cannot be changed or resized once it is purchased. Lasers are used to calibrate the setting in order to apply perfectly-proportioned pressure to the diamond so it will be held securely without shattering. Although a tension setting is a very secure setting, the setting can be damaged if the diamond ring suffers a blunt impact.
Although the tension setting is a relatively new diamond setting, it is gaining popularity for its unusual appearance. At the same time, new tension-style settings are also gaining widespread acclaim for mimicking the intriguing look of a tension setting without the price and complicated creation process. The tension-style setting is a creative and bold diamond setting choice that uses a hidden bridge to create the dramatic look of the true tension setting for a fraction of the price. The tension-style setting also incorporates the security advantages of both kinds of diamond settings—the secure hold of prongs with the smooth silhouette of a tension setting.
Whether you opt for a more traditional diamond setting or invest in the striking beauty of a tension or tension-style setting, make sure to take the time to thoroughly research your options and choose the diamond setting that best fits your taste and your lifestyle.
