The 5th Avenue Pave Diamond Engagement Ring was absolutely gorgeous and exceeded every expectation I could have had. The only thing that matched the quality of the diamond ring was the service. Someone is there to help you every (and I mean EVERY) step of the way and answer any possible question you might have. They’re friendly, easy to get a hold of (and respond very quickly as well) and genuinely want to help you and get you the best ring for the money. S. H.
Not once did I ever feel that I was being coerced into buying something more expensive than I wanted, on the contrary, what was suggested to me (and that I eventually purchased) was below what I had originally picked out and what my limit was. They truly want you to get the best possible item for your money.
I cannot recommend Whiteflash enough. Buying an engagement ring online may sound like a risky endeavor, but with Whiteflash, you can rest assured because they are the real deal and will beat out anything you can find in a store. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Thank you,
Dear Whiteflash.com Sales Team,
I just wanted to write and tell you how absolutely gorgeous my wedding ring is! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your help in getting this to me in time for my wedding. The Danielle Jazz Bezel Diamond Wedding Band is perfect and is so much more stunning in person than in the pictures – and the pictures were beautiful! I will not hesitate, ever, to recommend Whiteflash to anyone I know looking for a quality piece of jewelry!
Sincerely,
Laurel
I would like everyone reading this message to know how amazing Whiteflash truly is. Let me start by saying that choosing an engagement ring was one of the hardest decisions of my life. I had definitely looked at other places on the internet. While those places have great diamond rings, none of them really offered what I was looking for. I wanted a ring that would shock and amazing everyone who stopped and looked at it and I found that ring at Whiteflash. I would also like everyone to know that I had a time limit because we were leaving for a trip to NYC and I wanted to propose on 10-10-10. I called Whiteflash and they set me completely at ease and were very helpful in getting me set up which I even did a wire transfer. They actually scheduled a ship date and delivery date and I got my ring before the trip and am now happily engaged. But thats not all. The customer service also kept me up to date on my ring and before it shipped, a professional photographer took absolutely beautiful pictures of the ring. I chose Whiteflash because of their excellent service and A Cut Above diamonds which are also in the band of my fiances ring, a feat no other place could offer. So not only do the 3 diamonds on top sparkle with ACA quality, the 72 ACA diamonds on the band do too. I cannot express how much this ring sparkles and blings. The quality of these diamonds are amazing. Even when we left Times Square in NYC, it still felt like we were there because of how much this ring sparkles. They even sent with the ring a magnifying glass to look at the diamonds and a cloth in a nice box. Also the ring was in a beautiful cherry wood box. The reactions of this ring include: “Oh my god” to “That is absolutely gorgeous” to simply “HOLY S@#T”. My highest recommendations go out to Whiteflash and I will definitely be returning to get the matching wedding band. Please do not hesitate. Whiteflash is amazing and you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much Whiteflash, from the bottom of my heart!!!!
Sincerely,
Sean R.
Cross-posted from Whiteflash News: Battle of the Ring Settings
The halo setting is a rising star in the engagament ring setting world, and its easy to understand why. In a way, the halo ring setting is a little like Beyonce herself–a little practicality, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of cool.
The halo setting is a marriage between the security of the bezel setting and the sparkle of the pavé melée setting. The center stone is held in a metal collar, like in the bezel setting, but the rim is usually wider and is embellished with small diamonds. The overall effect becomes one of visual dazzle, that complements a hefty center stone as well as it supplements a smaller one.
Many variations of the halo ring setting are available, and many of them incorporate elements of other classic settings. For example, some halo settings have center prongs that raise the center stone slightly above the rest of the setting, giving it that prominence and light associated with the prong ring setting. However, the classic bezel-style halo setting creates a seamless silhouette between the center stone and its halo, which is a popular and elegant look.
This is an example of a prong-set halo setting. The braided pavé-set band is a unique and glamorous touch, but the essence of the style is in the princess-cut stone set in a square halo setting. The subtle sparkle of the center stone is enhanced by the combined effect of 74 total melée diamonds, making this the ring for someone who wants dramatic visual impact. Despite the melée action, however, the defined prongs help keep the center stone as the clear focal point.
The basic idea of the halo ring setting allows so much room for variation. There is the classic halo setting, which sets a round stone into a more squared-off ring setting, giving it a bigger and more modern look.
For the more adventurous ring buyers, the halo setting can be adapted in many ways, to suit many styles. Check out this unique adaptation of a classic ring setting:
First, the use of a sapphire as a center stone changes the role of the halo setting; instead of making the center stone look bigger through an optical illusion, it contrasts with it, offering the elegant diamond-and-sapphire look that has recently become very popular. Additionally, the halo setting itself becomes part of the focal point of the ring, and is therefore wider and more ornate than would normally be seen on a diamond-only ring. From a practical perspective, the use of a sapphire means that there is more room in the budget for a fabulous ring setting like this one. And of course, the beauty is in the details, so check out this close-up of the back of the ring.
Halo ring settings are not only for princess and round stones. Fancy shaped diamonds such as marquise and pear shapes can sometimes be difficult to set in ring settings that emphasize their uniqueness while also providing balance and security. The halo setting, as it repeats the lines of the center stone while simultaneously holding it securely, can be a great choice for these stones. For example, check out this pear-shaped stone in a halo ring setting.
Another advantage of the halo ring setting, is the emphasis it gives to an often-ignored part of the diamond: the pavilion. The pavilion is the part of the stone that recedes and narrows from the girdle, or the widest point. It sometimes (but not always) culminates in a culet, a facet cut at the very bottom tip of the stone. Either way, the pavilion is a beautiful part of a well-cut stone, as well as being crucial to the quality and light performance of the stone. A halo setting can create a dramatic side profile view of the pavilion that emphasizes its angles.
So who wants to wear a halo setting? This is a ring setting that can work for old or young, on large diamonds and small, and in complicated or simple ring styles. If you are leaning towards a solitaire style ring setting, but want just a little more bling in your ring, consider the classic beauty of the halo setting.

Whiteflash.com has to be the greatest “online” and “in person” experience my husband and I have ever encountered. We were so hesitant (the first time) in purchasing a diamond from an online diamond dealer that we called and communicated constantly, and were reassured and informed with information regarding diamonds by the most knowledgeable experts. I cannot do justice by merely stating how wonderful this company is.
Upon our second purchase, we wanted a much larger diamond and so we returned to WhiteFlash. This time we hopped a flight and physically was shown the exquisite loose diamonds. Wow, what an exhilarating time that was. I actually had an 8 ct. diamond placed on my hand….. that is not what we purchased, as much as we would have loved to….but we did make a gorgeous purchase.
The next purchase was so easy, my husband did it all without my knowledge, took the original first purchased diamond, added two more diamonds and created a fabulous right hand ring for me with 3 stones.
Now it has been probably 5 years since the first purchase and 3 or so since the second…who knows, maybe longer altogether…but the reason for me writing this is because recently, I was doing some fencing on my ranch and the rolled fence dropped on my hand with the 3 stone diamond ring…my hand was pretty swollen and hurt. I was sitting at the computer later that day and all of a sudden a diamond pops out of the setting and onto the counter.
From the minute I made contact again with WhiteFlash to just minutes ago when my FedEx returned my two rings, I have re-experienced the finest quality of workmanship for the repair and the finest care in customer service. Nothing but Kudos to WhiteFlash. Thank you for making my rings gorgeous again. Thank you for customer care and quality work. If another diamond were in my future, I know we are returning as your customers. And no, I will not wear either of the two rings while doing ranch chores again. I learned my lesson.
Sincerely,
Ester
